Nice to be on the bike again! Great day to race in early April. Dad and I drove around the course before the race. We had mentioned not racing and just riding some hills in the area.
We raced anyway and thanks to Brad taking 3 hours of hard work to clear every little pebble on the road, it made the race so much safer.
I wanted to stay up front the whole race and I managed to do so, until the B group caught us. My Dad, John and Dave went zuming by me like I was sitting still. That's when everything cut loose. Attacks after attacks were made! I finally was let go from the field with 12 miles left in the race, with Jeff on my wheel. Jeff then cranked up the pace to get us free from the rest.
