I actually had a lot of fun on this ride. We did a practice warm up lap and the course was laid out by Chris. This was not a roller course as described in the emails. There were some good climbs. Yeah there were rollers coming up to the major climb and rollers after the major climb but it added up after a while. I flatted on our first lap around. So I had to put a new tire on. Thanks to everyone that helped out. I thought my day was over. Coming off of last week I did not know what to expect from this ride. I felt good on the practice lap and on the second race lap I got in the main break but got dropped on the major climb, but was able to hook up with Will and Blair for a good chase down which almost worked. As far as overall results the RED team got smacked by Ryan and Mike but team results were in our favor. This was a very fun race/ ride. I ended up finishing fourth on the final race lap, but second overall as far as four/ fives go. Not bad.

Thanks to Chris for putting together a good course to test you early season fitness. Needless to say, I didn't have the legs. The first "warmup" lap was a solid warmup. After the first lap, Ryan and Rich got away early and maintained a gap despite Jeremy's coaching, and Stubna's and my efforts to pull them back. The start of the third lap was a little slower, but when we neared the base of the real climb, the pace picked back up. Grimm Sr., George, Rich, and I got shelled at the second pitch and lost 200m on the group. George motored through the crest of the climb and pulled out away from the rest of us. Rich, Grimm Sr, and I worked together trying to pull the group back in, but never lost or gained any ground through the rollers. It was nice looking at the backs of those fine riders the rest of the way back in. Good clean squad fun for a Saturday. Thanks again Jeremy for the advice and thanks Chris for a great ride.

Best ride/race ever! I had a blast. Thanks to Fisher for the planning and Will for the Snot Bands! I would rather do these races all year long, so much fun! You had to be there, maybe next time!
