Another tim tyler special:

Put Cat 3's and 4's, with Masters that are 2's. Then call the race a 3/4 race with a option for Masters 35+ just so that the tortellini guys can race. What a mess if you're out of shape. Might as well just made it a 1/2/3/4/5 race. Well anyways, during the race I was taking flak from a racer on the back of the Peloton (a former Cat 2) and also from racers after we finished about how I was a sandbagger for lapping the field. Well, they seem to forget that their were 10-15 Cat 2's in the race (whole torelli squad and some random masters riders) and also that everyone in my break were Cat 2's. So how do you explain that?? Could it have been just pure hardwork and motivation on how I got my result today then?? Some racers seem to forget I got dropped after 2 laps last year and Tris Hopkins (Torelli) and Dave C. (Tri-tech) lapped the field in the Gahanna race.

Anyways: The race went smooth attacked from the gun. Established a break of 4 after 12 minutes of racing. Made sure the Peloton was confused and had no idea what was going on. Break: rode hard tempo away from the Peloton and then ended up lapping the Peloton with about 14 laps to go. Put Ryan and Tim to the front and we looked like a well oiled machine at the front of the Peloton with 5 laps to go. Then Grimm attacked on the last lap and the impressive sight of Savage on the Front was swarmed over.

This was an awesome result for Savage Hill against a quality field that wasn't prepared for this race. The race looked like a very serious threat at the startline but the race turned into a impressive showing of Savage Hill.

category 3/4-35+ masters evidently also read field full of category 1/2 riders. If that is actually the case, I'm pretty happy with my progress this Summer. Made it halfway before the lungs said no more. Not there yet,but getting there. : )
